Merchant Center free listings put your product in the Google Shopping tab with photo and price. About 10 minutes to set up.
Setup (Shopify)
- Create a free Google Merchant Center account with your business Gmail.
- Add your shipping and return policy pages on your website.
- On Shopify, install the Google & YouTube app and connect Merchant Center.
- Sync your products. Google reviews them; this can take a few days.
- In Merchant Center, make sure free listings are turned on.
Avoid disapprovals
- Title = real product name: brand + product + colour/size. Example: “Aarav Cotton Kurta for Women – Blue, M”.
- Price on Google = price on your website. Same for sale price.
- Photo: clear, plain background, no text or logos on it.
- Add GTIN/barcode if your product has one. If not, mark “no identifier”.
- Stock status must match your website.
Every week
- Open Merchant Center → Products → fix anything “Not approved”.
- Check Performance → which products get clicks for free.
